Not KL Rahul or Shreyas Iyer! AB De Villiers picks four cricketers RCB should buy in IPL 2025 mega auction
The IPL 2025 mega auction will be held on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Shreyas Iyer (Kolkata Knight Riders), Rishabh Pant (Delhi Capitals) and KL Rahul (Lucknow Super Giants) were not retained for the 18th season. According to reports, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are looking to target Rahul and Pant in the auction process as they need a world-class wicket-keeper and captain.
However, AB de Villiers, who played for the Bengaluru-based team for years, has suggested the team management to target four different players.
AB de Villiers said that the priority should be to sign a top spinner. He suggested the names of Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin. He also came with Kagiso Rabada’s name, who was not retained by Punjab Kings. He also wished to see Bhuvneshwar Kumar playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, after he was allowed to leave by Sunrisers Hyderabad.
“Your priority should be to get a world-class spinner. Let’s add Yuzi Chahal to the squad as he belongs to RCB. We can also sign his RR partner Ravichandran Ashwin Kagiso Rabada doesn’t need any introduction,” AB de Villiers ssid.
“I will also go with Bhuvneshwar Kumar. These are my four picks and I will almost spend the entire purse on them. Yuzi Chahal, KG Rabada, Bhuvi Kumar, and Ravi Ashwin are needed. We can buy other players with the remaining money after getting these four.”
