Mumbai: Veteran Indian music singer Asha Bhosle has passed away at the age of 92. He breathed his last at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Sunday. Asha Tai, who was admitted to the hospital after cardiac arrest, was known as ‘Suron ki Mallika’. With his demise, there has been a wave of mourning in the music and film industry. Asha Bhosle was born on 8 September 1933 in Gore village of Sangli, Maharashtra. He started his music career in 1943 at the age of just 10 and has sung more than 12,000 songs till now.
