Nothing is kept in government job! The Pani-Puri seller is better than us, Tehsildar commented in the meeting

Everyone in India wants a government job, they are always searching for a government job of any kind. But, the case is opposite in Karnataka. Here a Tehsildar has expressed his displeasure over the functioning of government offices and the huge pressure on the employees.

He made such a comment which has given rise to a new debate on social media. The Tehsildar says that there is nothing left in a government job, the one selling Pani-Puri is better than us. His income is also more than ours.

“We are better off selling panipuri or gobi Manchurian,” said Holenarsipur tehsildar KK Krishnamurthy, speaking at an event organized by the Taluk State Government Employees Association.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren took refuge in Lord Shiva and visited Mahakal in Ujjain with his wife Kalpana Soren.

Krishnamurthy said that cart pullers live a happy life, free from pressure. They can go on holidays, return home peacefully and enjoy their lives. In contrast, government officials face constant stress and are not even able to take their families to temples.”

Tehsildar gave the reason

He further said, “Technology has increased our workload instead of reducing it. Senior officials monitor their actions through WhatsApp group and seek results on the same day. Any delay results in a departmental inquiry, or intimidation in the name of inquiry.”

Teachers engaged in feeding eggs to children instead of studying

“Village accountants are unable to voice their struggles for fear of retribution, and teachers are burdened with government schemes like distributing eggs and breakfast to children instead of focusing on education,” he said.

Victims of illness, even early retirement

The Tehsildar expressed concern about the impact on the health of officers, citing increasing cases of high blood pressure, diabetes and kidney and liver diseases. The officer also admitted that he was considering voluntary retirement due to unbearable pressure.
