Nothing has finally rolled out the final and stable version of its latest major OS update, the Nothing OS 3.0, after months of testing in its beta phase. Nothing OS 3.0, powered by Android 15 brings new features, better customization, and improved performance for the Nothing phones.

What’s New in Nothing OS 3.0?
Apart from the new Gallery app, another noteworthy addition is the introduction of shared widgets, currently in beta. These widgets allow users to share updates with friends and family directly on a customizable lock screen, adding a personal touch to your device. In terms of productivity, the update includes a countdown widget that helps users stay on track with important tasks. The AI-powered Smart Drawer automatically organizes apps into folders, ensuring a cleaner and more efficient user interface.
The update also brings system-wide enhancements. The Quick Settings panel has been improved for easier access to essential settings. Multitasking gets better with the enhanced pop-up view feature, allowing smoother transitions between tasks. Additionally, users can expect visual and performance upgrades, including refined typography and a cleaner overall look.
Which Phones Are Getting the Update?
Not all Nothing phones are getting the update at the same time. The rollout has already begun for the Nothing Phone (2) and Nothing Phone (2a), with the process expected to continue through the end of the year. If you own a Nothing Phone (1), Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, or CMF Phone 1, the update is scheduled to arrive in early 2025.
How to Update to Nothing OS 3.0
If you have an eligible device to experience the latest Nothing OS 3.0, then know it is simple to update your phone to the latest version. However, before you begin, ensure that your phone is connected over a stable Wi-Fi network and has at least 50% battery. Also, make sure that all of your data is synced up. Once you are ready, then follow these simple steps:
- First of all, go to the Settings app
- Click on the System option and here, select Software Update.
- If you can find the update, then simply tap on Download and Install.
