Nothing Phone 4b RCB Edition gets a matte red makeover ahead of launch

Special edition design

Nothing has officially teased the Phone 4b RCB Editionand the special model is expected to stand out with a matte deep red finish. The back panel reportedly carries the Royal Challengers Bengaluru logogiving the phone a more collectible, team-inspired look than the standard version.

The design also appears to keep Nothing’s signature transparent styling, with visible internal elements and a horizontal Glyph Bar near the camera section. Black side buttons and accent details are said to add contrast to the red rear panel, making the edition look more premium and sporty.

Colour and launch details

Reports say the RCB Edition will launch alongside the regular Phone 4b on 7 July in India, with very limited availability. Some coverage says the special edition may be sold exclusively through the Nothing Bengaluru storewhich would make it even more niche for fans and collectors.

The standard Phone 4b is still expected to come in multiple regular colours such as black, white and bluewhile the RCB model gets the exclusive red treatment. That makes the special variant the most eye-catching version in the lineup.

What to expect

The RCB Edition is likely to focus mainly on cosmetic changes rather than major hardware differences. Reports suggest it will share the same core specifications as the regular Phone 4b, including the Snapdragon-based chipset, dual cameras and mid-range positioning.

In addition to the colour swap, Nothing may also include RCB-themed wallpaperscustom packaging and possibly special accessories. That would make the handset feel more like a fan-edition device than just another colour variant.

Why it stands out

Nothing has leaned heavily into design identity since its first phones, and this edition pushes that even further by tying the device to a popular cricket franchise. For buyers who want something distinctive, the RCB Edition could be the most memorable Phone 4b model at launch.
