Nothing’s Phone 3 Teased in Official Ear Open Launch Video With Hole-Punch Display

Nothing, the UK brand led by OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei, seems to be gearing up for its much-anticipated Phone 3 launch next year. Though we have to wait for official confirmation, the yet-unannounced hand set was teased in the launch video of Nothing Ear Open, which gives off the hint of its existence and verifies the moniker. The Nothing Phone 3 should be sporting Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. The Phone 3 is expected to be the replacement for Nothing Phone 2, launched in July 2022, in India.

New Video by Nothing Hints at Existence of the Phone 3

On Tuesday, Nothing posted a new video to its official YouTube channel which introduced the new Ear Open headphones and gave us our first look at the Nothing OS 3.0 update. It’s here: The 15-minute video gives us a sneak peek at the unannounced Nothing Phone 3 at the 6:54 minute mark.

The “Finish setting up Phone (3)” text at the top of the Settings page of what’s probably the unannounced phone confirms the moniker:

The Nothing Phone 3 features a hole punch cut-out at the centre of the display and sports very slim symmetrical bezels all around the screen. There is a power button at the right edge, and volume buttons on the left edge. The new phone arrives with some upgrades over the Phone 2. The latter was launched in July 2022 at the very starting price of Rs. 44,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The Nothing Phone 2 came with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC onboard, so the Phone 3 is expected to run on Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. It is likely to come with Nothing’s iconic transparent back design with the Glyph LED interface.
