Notice to 18 leaders including former MLA Sanjeev Singh, contesting civic elections against authorized candidate of BJP

RANCHI: BJP has taken seriously the indiscipline in municipal elections in Jharkhand. Show cause notices have been issued to the leaders contesting against BJP supported candidates in the civic elections. If satisfactory answers are not received, disciplinary action will be taken against the rebel leaders.

Discipline imposed on three leaders of Dhanbad

Municipal elections in Jharkhand are not being held on party basis. Despite this, party politics is at its peak. BJP has made Sanjeev Kumar its candidate for the post of Mayor of Dhanbad Municipal Corporation. BJP leader Jharia’s former MLA Sanjeev Singh, former BJYM district president Mukesh Pandey and BJP leader Bhrigunath Bhagat are contesting against Sanjeev Kumar. BJP leaders tried hard to remove all three from the electoral fray. Even BJP’s National General Secretary Arun Singh spoke for this. Due to lack of success, show cause notice has been issued to all three.

18 leaders of Jharkhand under action

The party has sent notices to 18 leaders contesting against BJP-backed candidates in the civic elections, seeking answers on indiscipline. State General Secretary Pradeep Verma has sent a notice to Sanjeev Singh, Mukesh Pandey, Bhrigunath Mahato in Dhanbad seeking their reply. Sanjeev Singh is the husband of Jharia BJP MLA Ragini Singh. Explanation has been sought from Baba Ballia in Deoghar and Parshuram Ojha in Palamu. In the letter sent by these leaders, State General Secretary Pradeep Verma has said that their anti-party activities have been considered indiscipline. Give your reply on this to the party within seven days.

Notice to more than 20 leaders from the district committee

BJP’s District Committee of many districts including Giridih, Jamshedpur, Chaibasa has sent letters to more than 20 leaders asking for their stand on the issue of being involved in anti-party activities. If their answers are not satisfactory, the party will take further action.
