Notorious gangster Pawan Kallu killed in encounter between UP STF and Agra Police

Another example of police strictness against criminals has come to light in Uttar Pradesh. The joint team of STF of Noida unit and Agra Police took a major action in Police Station Ekta area on 27 February 2026. During this time, notorious criminal Pawan alias Kallu was shot in the encounter and died in the hospital.

Pawan, son of Santram, resident of Sirauli of Loni police station area of ​​Ghaziabad, was a criminal carrying a reward of Rs 50 thousand in the extortion case of Tajganj police station of Agra Commissionerate. He was the main shooter of Randeep Bhati-Amit Kasana gang identified by the government. There are more than 18 cases registered against him including four cases of murder and two cases of extortion.

In 2021, there was a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head in a murder case. After being arrested from Delhi and sent to jail, Himanshu Bhau of Haryana joined the gang there. As soon as he came out of jail in 2025, he started extorting money on a large scale. The police suspected that he was planning a sensational crime in Delhi-East UP.

A huge quantity of cartridges and weapons were recovered from the encounter site. Especially a 9 mm pistol was looted from constable Monu Dhiman in Bisrakh police station of Gautam Buddha Nagar in 2016. He was then on PSO duty of ADJ. A case has been registered in this matter in Bisrakh police station.

This action gives a strong message to the criminals. The police is now working towards breaking his network.
