November Bank Holiday List: On what occasions will banks remain closed?
Apart from weekly holidays, there are many festivals in November. At the same time, due to assembly elections, bank holidays have increased. According to the bank holiday list released by RBI-
- Due to Diwali Amavasya on 1 November 2024, banks will remain closed in Agartala, Belapur, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gangtok, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Shillong, Srinagar.
- On the occasion of Bali Pratipada on 2 November 2024, banks of Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gangtok, Jaipur, Kanpur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Lucknow will remain closed.
- There will be no work in banks of Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi on the occasion of Chhath festival on 7 November 2024.
- Banks of Patna, Ranchi, Shillong will remain closed on 8 November 2024 due to Chhath festival.
- All banks of Dehradun will remain closed on the occasion of Igas-Bagwal on 12th November 2024.
- Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Telangana, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti on 15 November 2024. Banks of Shimla will remain closed.
- Banks will remain closed in Bangalore on 18 November 2024 due to Kanakadas.
- Banks in Shillong will remain closed on 23 November 2024 on the occasion of Seng Kutsnem.

All banks remain closed every Sunday and second and fourth Saturday of the month. Accordingly, banks will remain closed on 3, 10, 17, 24 in November due to Sundays. At the same time, banks will remain closed on 9th (second Saturday) and 23rd due to it being the fourth Saturday.
