The Chief Minister said what was the situation of law and order before 2005? When we came to government in November 2005, many steps were taken to improve law and order. In the year 2005, the number of police force was about 42 thousand. We accelerated the process of re-establishment of the police and now the strength of the police force has reached 1 lakh 10 thousand. In the year 2013, 35 percent reservation for women in the police force was implemented, due to which the number of women in the police force increased.

The number of women policemen also increased

Today the number of women in the police force has reached about 30 thousand. The number of women in the police force is not so high in other states of the country. This is a matter of happiness for all of us. With the appointment of women police officers in women police stations, it is becoming easier for women to lodge complaints. The number of police force in Bihar should be 2 lakh 29 thousand.

He said that at present the strength of the police force is one lakh 10 thousand. The restoration process of 21 thousand police force is going on. Work is being done to restore the 20 thousand police force. He directed the Director General of Police to immediately reinstate the remaining 78 thousand police force. Complete the restoration process of the remaining posts in the next six months. He said that we have fixed the policing system.

Police patrolling increased, crime graph dropped

He said that arrangements have been made for police patrolling during the night as well as during the day. Crime has reduced due to police patrolling. How bad was the condition of law and order before the year 2005. People did not come out of the house in the evening. Now people are coming out of their homes till late night and doing their work fearlessly.
