Now nuclear drone will fly on Titan, NASA’s new mission can make shocking revelations!
Space Exploration: Another major change is being seen in the field of space research. US space agency NASA his ambitious Dragonfly Work on the mission has been expedited. Under this mission, a special drone is being prepared, which will deeply study the surface and atmosphere of Titan, the largest moon of Saturn.
This drone will be the size of a small car and will be powered by nuclear energy technology. According to the plan, it will be launched in the year 2028 and after a journey of about 6 years, it will reach Titan in 2034.
Octocopter with eight wings: Will fly with a special design
Dragonfly is designed as an octocopter with eight rotors. It is being made especially keeping in mind the environment of Titan. Titan’s atmosphere is much denser than Earth and gravity is also less there, which will make it easier for this drone to fly. However, the extremely cold environment and the time it takes for signals to travel back and forth from Earth remains a major challenge for scientists.
Nuclear energy will provide powerful power
Multi-Mission Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator (MMRTG) will be used to provide energy to this drone. This technology generates energy from radioisotopes and is considered extremely reliable for long-term space missions. With its help, Dragonfly will be able to remain active for a long time and study different places on the surface of Titan.
Fly high, Dragonfly! 🚁NASA has confirmed the #DragonflyMission to Saturn’s organic-rich moon Titan. This allows the rotorcraft mission to progress to completion of final design, followed by the construction of the spacecraft and science instruments.

Landing will take place at Selk Crater
Under the mission, there is a plan to land this drone near Selk Crater located in the equatorial region of Titan. Scientists believe that complex organic matter may be present in this area, which may have once been formed due to the presence of liquid water. The drone will fly from here and investigate various places and study the chemical elements there.

Will reveal big things through cameras and sensors
Dragonfly will carry with it a number of modern scientific instruments, including cameras, spectrometers and other sensors. With their help, the organic substances and chemical structures present on the surface of Titan will be analyzed. This mission could answer the question whether conditions suitable for life ever existed on Titan.
Historic launch in 2028
The Dragonfly mission will be launched in 2028 on a Falcon Heavy rocket. If this mission is successful, it will be the first time that a drone flying on another planet’s moon will make scientific discoveries on such a large scale.
