But to get a permanent driving license, one has to physically go to the transport office so that the driving test can be done. How to apply online?

• First of all go to this website sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/sarathiservice/stateSelection.do.
• Select your state from the drop down list.
• Now select the option to apply for Learner’s License from the list.
• Then select the applicant with Aadhaar option to take the exam from anywhere or from home.
• Now check the box for applicants without driving license in the country and click on submit button.
• Tick ​​the box for Submit through Aadhaar authentication option and click on the submit button.
• After this, after submitting the Aadhar card details and mobile number, click on the Generate OTP button.
• Verify all the details after entering the OTP. Then check the box to accept the terms and conditions. Also, click on the Authentication button.
• Now click on the option of Mode of License Fee Payment.
• It is mandatory to watch the 10 minute driving instruction video before proceeding for the test.
• After the tutorial video is over, an OTP and password for the test will be sent to the registered phone number.
• To start testing, fill out the form and proceed. Fix the front camera on your device and turn it on.
• Now sit for the exam and answer at least six out of 10 questions correctly to pass the exam.
• After passing the test, the license link will be sent to the registered phone number. If the test is not passed then Rs 50 will have to be paid for the test again.
