Let us tell you that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said in her budget speech that custom duty on 7725 important minerals of cobalt, lithium and copper will be removed. Recently, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had indicated in a private program that very soon the prices of EV vehicles will become equal to that of petrol diesel vehicles. Apart from custom duty exemption, the minister has also announced reduction in basic custom duty on two of these minerals.
