How to apply from smartphone? (Easiest Ways)

You mainly have two best options for applying from home:

1. UMANG App: (Most useful for new ration card)
2. Mera Ration 2.0 App: (For Ration Management and One Nation-One Card)

Method 1: How to create new ration card from UMANG app?

UMANG is the ‘Super App’ of the Government of India, where you can easily apply for ration card.

1. Download: First from Google Play Store ‘UMANG’ Download the app and register with mobile number.
2. Search Service: in the search bar in the app ‘My Ration’ Or search ‘Department of Civil Supplies’.
3. Apply: Click on the option ‘Apply for Ration Card’. (Note: This feature is currently live on the app for some states only, if your state is not visible, see method no. 3).
4. Fill details: Fill the name of the head of the family, income and details of members in the form.
5. Photo Upload: Upload clear photographs of Aadhar Card, Bank Passbook and Photograph. As soon as you submit, you will get a ‘Reference Number’.

Method 2: Using ‘Mera Ration 2.0’ App

The government recently ‘Mera Ration 2.0’ The app has also been updated. This app is a boon for those whose card is already made or who want to make improvements in it.

• What can be done? With this, you can take grains anywhere in the country under ‘One Nation One Ration Card’.
• Add member: Whether a new daughter-in-law has come to your house or a child has been born, you can submit a request to add their name through this app.

Method 3: State Food Department Website (For All)

If the app doesn’t work for you, this method works 100%. Open your state’s ‘Food & Supply’ website (eg: fcs.up.gov.in or epos.bihar.gov.in) in your mobile browser (Chrome). There click on the link “New Ration Card Apply” and fill the form.
