Now get rid of the queue at the station, train tickets will be available from the local shop
IRCTC: Indian Railways is taking major decisions one after the other to reduce the problems of common passengers. Now the days of going to the station to get tickets, standing in long queues and facing crowds are about to end. IRCTC and Railways have prepared such a master plan, due to which passengers will not have to go to the station for tickets, but will get train tickets from a nearby shop or local market.
What is YTSK scheme, how will the ticketing system change?
Delhi Division of Northern Railway has started the plan to open Passenger Ticket Facilitation Center i.e. YTSK. Under this, small ticket centers will be opened in cities and colonies. Both reserved and unreserved tickets will be available from these centres. Along with superfast, express, passenger trains, platform tickets will also be available from here.
Who can apply and last date
Authorized ticket agents of Railways and IRCTC can apply under this scheme. Northern Railway has fixed the last date for application as 30 January 2026. Interested people can check the terms and conditions by visiting the official website of Northern Railway. Keep in mind, applications received after 3 pm on January 30 will not be accepted. After this the documents will be scrutinized and eligible agents will be allowed to open the centre.
What benefits will common passengers get?
The biggest advantage of this scheme is saving time and effort. Now there will be no compulsion to go to big stations 10-15 kilometers away. General tickets, reserved tickets and platform tickets will be available from one place. Since these will be authorized centres, the hassle of touts and fake tickets will end. Tickets will be available at fixed price, which will also increase the confidence of passengers.
There will be relief from crowd during festivals
There is huge crowd at railway stations during festivals and holidays. With the opening of YTSK, this crowd will reduce to a great extent. People will be able to buy tickets from their own area, which will reduce the pressure at the station and improve the system.
Employment and connectivity will get a boost
This initiative of Railways is not only beneficial for the passengers but also from the employment point of view. Opening of ticket centers at the local level will create new jobs. Laborers and daily wage workers will not have to take leave for tickets. This will further strengthen the last mile connectivity of the Railways.
