Now mobile recharge will be for 30 days instead of 28? A big step taken by the government

Mobile Recharge | When you do a one month mobile recharge, its validity is only 28 days, so customers lose 2 days. But Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha raised this issue in Parliament and attracted the attention of the countrymen. After Raghav Chadha raised the issue, he received a huge response from the people in the country and everyone felt that the telecom companies were doing arbitrary things. Naturally, this increased the pressure on the government. Now, against all this backdrop, the central government has taken a big step.

Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said in Parliament that the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has already ordered that every company must have at least one recharge plan of 30 days in its mobile recharge plan. Each operator (Jio, Airtel, Vi) must provide one full month (30 days) plan in their special tariff or combo vouchers. But the companies are given freedom to decide the price and other terms and conditions according to their convenience. Scindia also said the government is urging telecom companies to promote 30-day recharge plans more so that consumers understand the difference between 28 and 30 days.

Due to this decision of the government, now mobile users will soon get 30 days recharge plan instead of 28 days. This will save 2-3 days every month i.e. about 25 to 30 days in a year. This will save some amount of money spent on recharge and save money of customers.

Raghav Chadha had suggested scrapping the 28-day recharge scheme altogether. Chadda said that the 28-day recharge means consumers have to recharge more times throughout the year, resulting in higher costs. Raghav Chadha also demanded that basic services like SMS and incoming calls should be available for at least one year after the expiry of the recharge period. After all, the government has to consider their demands, so the common mobile users are likely to have better days.
