Now no American ambassador will go to Pakistan! Did Trump order to end peace talks?
New Delhi: US President Donald Trump has canceled the visit of the US delegation to Pakistan for the second round of peace talks with Iran. Trump said that America has all the cards in its hands in the war against Iran, so taking a long flight of 18 hours is useless.
Trump issued a new order
Speaking to Fox News, 79-year-old Republican leader and US President Donald Trump said, “I just told my people – they were getting ready to go – I said, ‘No, you will not fly 18 hours and go there. All the cards are in our hands. You can call us whenever you want, but you will no longer fly 18 hours and sit around talking nonsense.’
US-President made fun of Iran!
Let us tell you that a few minutes later, US President Trump took a dig at the Iranian leadership by posting on ‘Truth Social’. He wrote that no one in Iran knows “who is in power there, not even them themselves.”
Trump wrote, “I have just canceled the trip of our representatives to Islamabad to meet with the Iranians. The trip wastes too much time, too much work! There is tremendous infighting and confusion within their ‘leadership’. No one knows who is in power, not even themselves. Plus, we hold all the cards, they have nothing! If you want to talk, all you have to do is call.”
Decision taken after Iranian Foreign Minister’s departure
Donald Trump’s statement came hours after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir and left the country. Iran has made it clear that it will not accept America’s “maximalist demands”.
Iran has repeatedly expressed doubts about trusting America. He says that the talks on nuclear program last year and at the beginning of this year ended with the attack by America and Israel. At present, indefinite ceasefire is in force between both the sides.
