Now railway ticket booking will be easy! IRCTC is launching a new portal on July 15, the hassle of Captcha will end
If you often travel by train and book tickets on IRCTC website, then there is good news for you. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is going to launch its new beta website from July 15. The aim of the new website is to make the ticket booking process easier, faster and user-friendly than before.
A few weeks ago, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had attended a program at Malviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur. During this, students informed about the problems faced while booking tickets on IRCTC website. After this, the Railway Minister had instructed the officials to make necessary changes in the website and prepare a new version by July 15.
According to reports, the team of IRCTC and CRIS (Centre for Railway Information Systems) has also tested the beta version of the new website with the students of MNIT Jaipur.
What will be special in the new IRCTC website?
1. Easy and clean interface
The interface of the new website will be cleaner and simpler than before. Unnecessary security images, repetitive pop-ups and distracting graphics will be reduced, resulting in a better ticket booking experience.
2. Seat availability on a single screen
Now passengers will not need to change tabs again and again to check seat availability in different classes. In the new website, seat availability of all travel classes will be shown on a single screen.
3. Ticket booking will be completed in fewer clicks
The booking process has been made easier than ever. Now fewer steps and fewer clicks will be required to book tickets, due to which the reservation can be completed faster.
4. Better facility of saved passenger details
The Master List feature has been further improved in the new website. With this, passengers will not have to enter name, age and other information every time. Tickets can be booked quickly using pre-saved passenger details.
Tatkal ticket booking will be more smooth
IRCTC has also improved the backend system of the website so that the website remains stable even during high traffic. This is expected to reduce problems like website crashes or session drops at the time of Tatkal ticket booking.
Passenger Reservation System will also be upgraded
Apart from the website, Indian Railways is also upgrading its Passenger Reservation System (PRS). This system operates ticket booking on all platforms and apps of the Railways. However, it may take a few months for the system to be fully upgraded as it is being updated without disrupting service. At present, the beta version of the new IRCTC website will be made available from July 15.
