In the tehsils of the state where more than one sub-registrar office is operating, now registries can be done on Sunday also. The Stamp and Registration Department has implemented a new roster for this. There are five sub-registrar offices operating in Sadar tehsil of Lucknow. An office here will be open from 1 pm to 8 pm. Online appointment for registry can be taken from 1 pm to 7 pm. Why was this decision taken?

For a long time, people had been demanding that the timings of registry offices should be changed. Many people come from other cities and states to get registered. Since Sunday was a holiday, he had to take extra leave. Apart from this, in cases of land purchase under the development schemes of various departments, the concerned officers were often able to reach the office only after six in the evening.
In view of all these circumstances, this change in time and roster has been made to make the registration services more accessible and transparent. This new arrangement will definitely provide great relief to the general public, especially the working class and people coming from outside.
