Now the hassle of bank lines is over in old age. With this facility of RBI, the bank will come to your home itself, know how?
News India Live, Digital Desk: Imagine, the elderly grandfather or grandfather of the house has to submit ‘Life Certificate’ for his pension, but it is very sunny outside or there is a lot of crowd in the bank. As we age, standing in long queues or climbing the stairs of a bank seems no less than a punishment. Sometimes they have to wait for hours even to withdraw a small amount. Understanding this problem, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has taken an excellent initiative. Now the elderly and disabled people above 70 years of age will not need to go to the bank, rather the bank itself will deliver its services to their homes. Who will benefit from this? This facility is especially for those who are: 70 years of age or more. Those who are disabled or have serious problems in walking. Those who are visually impaired. What tasks can be done sitting at home? This ‘Doorstep Banking’ facility Through DSB, many such tasks can be done in a jiffy, for which earlier the whole day was wasted: Money transactions: Requesting or depositing cash sitting at home. Check book and demand draft: Requesting a check book or getting the prepared draft at home. Life Certificate: Depositing the most important ‘life certificate’ for pensioners sitting at home. KYC: Completing the paperwork related to the account at home. The easiest way to use (DSB App Tips) Calling the bank at home is as easy as ordering food at home. All you have to do is use the ‘DSB’ (Doorstep Banking) app: First download ‘DSB App’ from Google Play Store. Register your mobile number and select your bank. Select the service you want and choose the slot as per your convenience. After booking, an agent of the bank will come to your address. For security, a code will come on your phone, only after showing which you will be able to avail the service. A small advice: Keep in mind, banks charge a very nominal fee (usually Rs 75-100) for this facility, but considering the hard work and time of the elderly, it is very less. If there is any person in your house or nearby who faces difficulty in going to the bank, then definitely tell them about this government scheme. After all, the real fun of technology is when it can make the life of our loved ones a little easier!
