Now the name of the new bride will be added to the ration card as soon as she arrives at her in-laws’ house, just this small task will have to be done.

Fatehpur: Amidst the wedding season, a big relief news has emerged for the newlywed brides. Now the women who leave their parents’ home and come to their in-laws’ house, will not have to go to government offices to get their names added to the ration card, nor will they have to make rounds of babus. The Uttar Pradesh government has made this entire process completely digital and easy, so that now the work can be done in minutes.

Now all the work will be done at the public service center

Now registering name in ration card has become child’s play for new brides of Fatehpur district. Earlier this work used to take months, but now you just have to go to any Public Service Center (CSC) near you. There you will have to fill an online form and all your information will go directly to the Supply Inspector. After this, without any hassle, your name will be included in the ration card of your in-laws.

More than 5 lakh card holders will get benefit

About 5.26 lakh ration card holders of Fatehpur district will get the benefit of this new system. This is no less than a boon for the women who come here after getting married from other districts. For the application, the bride will only have to provide information about her Aadhar card, mobile number and in-laws’ address. The special thing is that as soon as the process of adding the name to the in-laws’ card starts, their name will be automatically removed (auto-delete) from the maternal ration card. Many women of the district have taken advantage of this facility and started taking free wheat and rice.

Kotedars received strict instructions

Food department officials have made it clear that now there is no need to pay anyone for this work. All the Ration Kotedars of the district have been instructed to go from village to village to make people aware about this online system. In this era of Digital India, so far 384 women have got their names added through the portal sitting at home. This new system is not only saving time but is also completely eliminating the game of middlemen.
