The Punjab government of Maryam Nawaz is planning to impose a daily charge of 30 Pakistani rupees for every cow and buffalo. The government is presenting this move as green energy. This plan is being described as part of the ‘Clean Punjab’ biogas program.

Following the outcry over petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan, the government has reduced the price of petrol by 80 rupees due to public protest. Petrol now costs 378 rupees per liter. Additionally, to curb rising inflation due to the Iran crisis, the government has made public transport completely free of charge for the next three days.
