The heat of Zen-ji movement has not completely ended yet and the festival of Guru Purnima has arrived. This movement has given us a lesson as a society that the present gurus will now have to develop their own new formulas and resolutions to handle the disintegrating Zen-ji. Seeing the kind of obscenity and disintegration of youth that came to light in this movement, it seems that now the gurus will have to increase their role.
I am remembering Sadhguru Kabir. He had said –
“This body is a storehouse of poison, a mine of Guru’s nectar.
If you pay sis, even if you find a guru, it will still be cheap.”
Kabir has said such a deep thing. Only one who has known the true glory of Sadhguru can say this. If the Guru is asking for his head from the disciple, then only the disciple is going to benefit, otherwise will the Guru give that head? Guru Dronacharya had asked for Ekalavya’s thumb. When he gave his thumb, Eklavya became immortal in history for his devotion to Guru. Otherwise who would ask Eklavya? He was a true disciple. Dronacharya’s gravity did not diminish by asking for his thumb as Dakshina. He knew the mind of Ekalavya. He was confident that Eklavya would give his head if asked. He did not have such confidence in Arjun at that time. Arjun learned the art of archery from Dronacharya, but did not learn the knowledge of the soul which Ekalavya learned while training his arms in front of the Guru’s statue. Arjun proved to be a very good student, but not of Guru Dronacharya, but of Lord Krishna, where he got self-knowledge in Geeta and also encountered the truth of life. Srimad Bhagavad Gita is a dialogue between Guru and disciple. On one side there is love, questioning and service. On the other side there is grace, mercy and kindness.
Guru is a supreme being. Nothing above this. All

have been lost, and our school children are being put on the wheels made by valueless progress and are being taken to the place from where a boring journey will begin again. There is no yearning for the Guru, there is no restlessness for the Guru.
If you don’t have any guru then how can your life be glorious?
yes ? If you don’t have any guru, you will remain in darkness for life.
You are cursed to keep wandering. You have no teacher,
So the day a huge crisis knocks at your house,
You will be alone, unarmed, helpless and scattered.

Sri Aurobindo says – “There are only two powers which together can accomplish the great work which is the object of our efforts – the one is the immovable aspiration which calls from below and the other is the divine compassion which answers from above.” These two powers are the Guru and the disciple. If these two truly come together, then no one can stop the proper transformation of the society.
