Now unnecessary emails will be removed in one click, Gmail brings new solution
Email remains an important medium of digital communication even today. Amidst bank alerts, office mails and important information, promotional and unwanted emails often fill the inbox. As a result, it becomes difficult to find important mail. Keeping this problem in mind, Gmail has introduced a new feature called ‘Manage Subscription’, which claims to help users get rid of unwanted emails in a jiffy.
According to technical experts, this feature has been specially designed for those emails which come in the inbox of the users under some subscription or the other. Such as offer mails, newsletters, app updates or promotional messages from shopping websites. Often users sign up to a website once and later keep looking for a way to get rid of these emails.
The ‘Manage Subscription’ feature shows Gmail users a list of all their active subscriptions. In this list, it is clearly visible which email is coming from which company or platform and how many times it is being sent. This makes it easier for users to decide which subscriptions are essential and which should be discontinued.
The biggest advantage of this feature is that now there will be no need to open every email and find the ‘Unsubscribe’ link given below. The user can directly go to the ‘Manage Subscription’ section and cancel any unwanted subscription with a single click. This saves time and also keeps the inbox organized.
Experts believe that this feature is especially useful for those users who use professional email. A clean inbox not only increases the speed of work, but also reduces the chances of missing important mail. Also, this feature works differently from spam filters, because the user himself remains in control.
However, technical experts also say that even after stopping the subscription, it may take some time for the emails of some companies to stop completely. Additionally, this feature only manages subscription emails, Gmail’s spam filter for spam or fake emails will continue to work as before.
