Now you will not be able to post copy-paste content on Facebook, immediate action will be taken on complaints
K News Desktop- Meta platforms have taken a big step to stop the increasing copy and fake content on social media platforms. The company has introduced new tools and updated content guidelines for Facebook, which are aimed at better protecting creators’ original content.
According to Meta, under the new features creators will now be given a centralized dashboard. With the help of this dashboard, creators will be able to easily flag posts or videos that someone has copied or posted in their name. Earlier, to complain about a post, separate reports had to be filed, but now multiple complaints can be filed from one place. With this, faster action is expected on copied content.
Meta says that this step has been taken to control the increasing AI generated spam and unoriginal content on the platform. Recently, many users and creators had complained that their posts, videos and reels were being copied and uploaded from other accounts.
Meta has also updated Facebook’s content guidelines. The company has clarified that content that has been shot or produced by a creator himself will be considered original content. Apart from this, such videos or reels can also fall in this category, in which new analysis, discussion or additional information has been given by remixing any other content.
The company says that the purpose of this change is to encourage creators and reduce the increasing copy-paste content on social media.
While Meta’s new tools can help identify duplicate content, they are not currently capable of completely identifying AI-generated deepfake content. That is, if a deepfake video is created using the identity or face of a creator, then taking immediate action on it still remains a challenge.
Meta has also introduced a new feature for Facebook Marketplace. Under this, businesses and sellers will now be able to automatically answer customer questions with the help of Meta AI.
If a buyer asks about a product “Is it still available?” As the question is asked, Meta AI will generate an answer based on the information in the listing. This may include information such as product price, availability, and pickup location. This is expected to make the buying and selling process easier and faster than before.
Meta says that through these new features, efforts are being made to make the platform more secure and reliable for creators.
