NSE Holidays 2026: When will the share market remain closed, is the market open on Gudi Padwa, know whether it is closed on Eid-Navratri or not?
NSE Holidays 2026: Due to the festive season this week, a question remains in the minds of traders and investors. Will the stock market remain closed on the occasion of Gudi Padwa, Eid or Navratri? In this connection, the complete schedule of holidays for March 2026 has been released. Here’s everything you need to know about the stock market holidays.
Will the stock market remain closed between March 19 and March 21?
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will remain open between March 19 and March 21, 2026. During this period, trading in equity, equity derivatives, currency and commodity segments will continue as normal. Although many regional and religious festivals are falling during this period, none of these days have been declared as official trading holidays. Therefore, the market will function normally on these dates.
In 2026, Eid al-Fitr is expected to fall on March 21, which is a Saturday. Since the market remains closed every Saturday and Sunday, this festival will not have any additional impact on trading activities. Apart from weekends, only a few official holidays have been scheduled for March 2026. Earlier this month, on March 3, the market was closed on the occasion of Holi.
When is the next stock market holiday?
Please note that the Indian stock market will next be closed on 26th March on the occasion of Ram Navami. After this, the stock market will also remain closed on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti on 31st March. There will be no trading on NSE and BSE on any of these two days.
