Karanbir Singh Surpassed Rohit Sharma: Austria’s Karanbir Singh recently created history by batting explosively in the T20 International match played against Hungary. He scored 164 runs in just 57 balls, which included 18 fours and 12 skyscraper sixes. With this explosive innings, Karanbir made a big achievement in his name and in this matter snatched the number-1 position from former Indian captain Rohit Sharma.

Karanbir has now become the batsman who has hit the most sixes in T20 International cricket. He now has 207 sixes in his name in T20I. Rohit, who retired from this format after winning the T20 World Cup 2024, has slipped to second place with 205 sixes.

Rohit Sharma, famous as Hitman, had scored 4231 runs in 151 innings of 159 T20I matches played for India in his career and during this he hit 205 sixes. Rohit also became the first batsman to hit 200 or more sixes. For a long time, the record of hitting most sixes in T20 International was in the name of Rohit.

But now Karanbir Singh has left him behind and has achieved this big achievement in just 60 T20 International matches. With 207 sixes, Karanbir has now become the batsman who has hit the most sixes in T20 International cricket.

Karanbir Singh’s T20I career

30-year-old Karanbir Singh made his T20 International debut against Belgium on 25 May 2024. Karanbir has scored 2533 runs in 59 innings of 60 T20I matches played so far at an excellent average of 48.71 and strike rate of 175.41. He also has four centuries and 20 half-centuries to his name in this format.
