O Romeo first day box office collection: Shahid Kapoor starrer starts on a slow note

Or Romeo

O Romeo starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri started on slow note at the Indian box office on the first day. The movie is expected to show a big jump in its collection on Saturday and Sunday.

O Romeo started on a slow note in the morning and matinee shows, but witnessed a strong pickup post-noon. By evening, occupancy levels across major metro cities showed a significant upward trend, indicating positive word-of-mouth translating into footfalls. The momentum shift in the latter half of the first day strengthened trade expectations.

Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#ORomeo opened on a slow note, though collections multiplied as the day progressed – particularly during the evening and night shows… Urban centres have performed comparatively better. #ORomeo (Week 1) Fri ₹ 9.01 cr. #India biz | Official Nett BOC | #Boxoffice.”

The word of mouth would help fare better on Valentine’s day, but India Vs Pakistan match may play spoil sport on Sunday. Taran tweeted, “The film must witness solid growth on Saturday and Sunday to show better weekend results. Valentine’s Day is expected to boost Saturday footfalls, but the high-voltage #INDvsPAK cricket match on Sunday evening could dent collections.”
