Obra’s Green Mountain School shines with cultural presentations, crowd gathers in annual function

The annual function and farewell program of the year was completed with great enthusiasm at Green Mountain School located in Obra under Chopan development block. On this occasion, the little children of the school mesmerized the crowd present by displaying their versatile talent. The program was formally inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the chief guest, Block Education Officer Chopan, Lokesh Mishra.

E. Surendra Singh (Assistant Director Training Institute), Dr. Rohit Nandan Pandey (Principal, Shyam Mahavidyalaya) and Anand Patel Dayalu (State Vice President, Apna Dal S) were present with him as special guests. School Principal Trilok Nath Jha welcomed all the guests in batches. During this, school manager Dr. Amit Singh and patron Sanjay Singh honored the dignified presence of the guests by giving them shawls and mementos.

In their address, the guests highlighted the importance of education while wishing for a bright future for the children. The main attraction of the function was the colorful cultural programs presented by the children. The program started with Saraswati Vandana. After this, presentations of Durga Stuti, Naat Sharif and Qawwali gave the message of communal harmony and devotion.

Plays based on sensitive subjects like Jhansi Ki Rani Ke Shaurya and Mission Sindoor brought tears to the audience’s eyes. Everyone praised the children’s acting wholeheartedly. Fulfilling the social concerns, the school family honored all the journalist brothers of the city by gifting them shawls, pens and diaries. Besides, the students who topped in academic and sports activities throughout the year were encouraged by giving them awards.

The program was successfully conducted by Vice Principal Dharamjit Kumar and Assistant Teacher Niranjan Chaurasia. Rakesh Keshari, Vineeta Kumari, Tamanna Bano, Poonam Gupta, Poonam Singh, Lakshmi Gupta, Afreen Bano, Pooja Kumari, Sunaina Sharma, Aarti Maurya, Aarti Soni, Gulfasha, Mumtaz Bano, Lilavati Devi, Shanti Devi, Shakeela Begum and the entire school staff had a commendable contribution in making the program successful. During this time a large number of parents and local citizens were present.
