In this regard, Odisha Congress will soon send a notice to the party president.

Action in Bihar and Haryana also

In Odisha, opposition candidate Datteshwar Hota was defeated due to cross-voting by eight BJD MLAs. Datteshwar Hota was nominated by BJD, while Congress announced its support. Congress believes that similar action can be taken in Bihar and Haryana. In Bihar, the opposition candidate lost despite winning easily.

Cross-voting in Haryana too

Congress candidate Karamveer Singh Boudh won in Haryana, but the party’s strategy seemed to be failing. Here five MLAs cross-voted by breaking away from the party. In addition, four votes were invalidated. Congress candidate with 37 seats got only 28 votes. The party is now investigating which leaders in Haryana and Bihar did not vote for the party’s candidates.
