Odisha Signs MoU with BISAG-N for Future-Ready Master Plan
The Government of Odisha signed an MoU with the Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N) to prepare a comprehensive Odisha State Master Plan under the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan.
Chief Secretary Odisha Shri Manoj Ahuja led the ceremony along with DC-cum-ACS Smt. Anu Garg, ACS, GA&PG Department, Shri Surendra Kumar, and Principal Secretary, Commerce & Transport Department, Smt. Usha Padhee. Secretaries from multiple departments joined the event. Shri T. P. Singh, Director General of BISAG-N, attended with his team.
The Odisha State Master Plan aims to integrate infrastructure planning with advanced geo-informatics tools. The collaboration strengthens digital governance and supports efficient resource management. Odisha seeks to align its infrastructure growth with national priorities while ensuring regional development.
Officials emphasised the importance of coordinated planning across transport, commerce, and governance. The Odisha State Master Plan will serve as a blueprint for future-ready infrastructure, combining technology with strategic vision. BISAG-N brings expertise in space applications and geo-informatics, enabling Odisha to adopt modern planning methods.
