Odisha Star Couple Sabyasachi & Archita Share A ‘Sweet Secret’ [Watch]
Bhubaneswar: Sabyasachi Mishra and Archita Sahu, the celebrated star couple of Odisha film industry, will be embracing parenthood soon.
The actors shared their ‘Sweet Secret’ in a post with a video shot against the backdrop of Shree Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar on Instagram on Saturday.
Following the announcement, congratulatory messages poured in from fans, colleagues, and celebrities across the entertainment industry. “This is a blessing of lord Jagannatha, so divine it is, my prayers for both specially for @architasahuofficial, utmost care she needs, god bless our child,” wrote globetrotter Odissi dancer Saswat Joshi.
Sabyasachi had earlier dropped a hint while sharing a post on December 6. “And there is a reason,” he wrote with the picture with his wife during a trip to London.
The wedding
The Ollywood’s power couple tied the knot on March 1, 2021, at a palace hotel in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The lovebirds had then taken everyone by surprise by announcing their sudden wedding plans the previous evening. “With the blessings of Lord Jagannatha & our families it gives us immense happiness in sharing that our wedding is happening tomorrow. You all are an integral part of our family. You have always showered your love during our good and bad times. How can we forget you on our big day! To start this new journey of togetherness, we will need your good wishes and blessings,” they posted on their social media handles.
Recent accolades
Sabyasachi was last seen in the film, ‘Ananta’, for which the actor put on around 22 kg over the past six months. The film is based on the story of Odisha’s renowned poet Fakir Mohan Senapati and has been directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sabyasachi Mohapatra, who has won numerous national awards.
His film, ‘Pushkara’, received the Best Odia Film award at the 71st National Award ceremony held in New Delhi in September this year.
Archita featured in the biggest blockbuster of 2025, ‘Bou Buttu Bhuta’, directed by Jagdish Mishra. The rights to dub and subtitle the horror-thriller-comedy film, also starring Babushaan and Aparajita, has been acquired by Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
