Ola Roadster 9.1 Bike Price Reduced By Rs 60,000, For A Limited Time Period
When innovation meets ambition, even the roads start to feel lighter under a revolution in motion.
Ola Slashes Prices: Roadster X+ Becomes More Accessible
Ola Electric has reduced the price of its flagship Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh from ₹1,89,999 to ₹1,29,999—a ₹60,000 drop. This move coincides with the scaling up of production for Ola’s in-house 4680 Bharat battery cells, which power the motorcycle.
The company has also revised its sales approach. Instead of open bookings, buyers will now access the Roadster X+ through limited purchase windows. The first slot opens on April 3, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a fixed number of units available. Ola cites a fivefold surge in demand, which has outpaced current production capacity, as the reason for this controlled release strategy.
Powering the Future: 4680 Bharat Cells and Performance
The Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh remains the top model in Ola’s portfolio, boasting a claimed range of up to 500 km per charge. Its battery pack uses the 4680 Bharat Cell technology, designed for high energy density, thermal stability, and balanced weight distribution. This ensures consistent performance over long distances while keeping the motorcycle agile.
Ola’s ability to cut prices comes directly from its battery strategy. Manufacturing the 4680 Bharat Cells in-house at its Gigafactory has lowered production costs, allowing the company to pass savings to customers. Battery production is expanding, targeting around 6 GWh capacity in the near future.
March 2026 saw registrations jump by over 150% compared to February, reaching 10,117 units, with daily orders exceeding 1,000 in the last week. By combining attractive pricing and controlled release windows, Ola aims to capture growing consumer interest and further establish the Roadster X+ as a high-performance, accessible electric motorcycle.
With every charge, the Roadster X+ doesn’t just cover distance—it carries the promise of a cleaner, faster, and smarter ride into the future.
Summary
Ola Electric has reduced the price of its Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh motorcycle from ₹1,89,999 to ₹1,29,999, following the scaled-up production of in-house 4680 Bharat battery cells. To manage high demand, sales will occur through limited purchase windows. The model offers up to 500 km range, high performance, and represents Ola’s push to expand EV adoption in India.
