Ola Roadster Electric Motorcycle Sees A BIG Price Cut: Now Starts At Rs. 79,000
Ola Electric has initiated a massive pricing revision for its upcoming Roadster electric motorcycle range. Under a new sales initiative, the electric two-wheeler manufacturer has dropped the entry price of the Roadster X to an aggressive Rs 79,999. This strategic price correction is designed to directly challenge the dominance of traditional, entry-level internal combustion engine motorcycles by entirely eliminating the upfront cost difference.
By bringing the starting price of a full-size electric motorcycle below the Rs 80,000 mark, the company is aiming to make electric vehicles the default choice for budget-conscious daily commuters. The revised pricing structure affects multiple battery configurations across the entire Roadster lineup, making higher-range variants significantly more accessible to early adopters.
Revised Roadster Battery Configurations
The entry-level Roadster X model is offered with three distinct battery pack options to suit different commuting requirements. Following the price cut, the base 2.5 kWh variant is now priced at Rs 79,999.
Buyers needing slightly more range can opt for the 3.5 kWh version, which now carries a price tag of Rs 92,999. The largest battery option in the standard X line-up, a 4.5 kWh pack, has been repositioned at Rs 99,999.
For riders seeking enhanced performance and longer travel capabilities, the company offers the premium Roadster X+ series. The 4.5 kWh configuration of the X+ is now priced at Rs 1.09 lakh.

Sitting at the very top of this specific product tier is the Roadster X+ equipped with a massive 9.1 kWh battery pack, which is currently retailing for Rs 1.89 lakh. This aggressive pricing structure firmly places the Roadster series in direct financial competition with popular petrol commuters.
While the pricing has dropped, the mechanical capabilities remain unchanged. The 4.5 kWh variant of the Roadster X claims a zero to 40 kmph sprint time of just 2.8 seconds, a top speed of 124 kmph, and a certified range of 200 kilometres on a single charge.
Time Sensitive Offers And Warranties
Beyond the flat price cuts, Ola Electric has introduced highly specific, time-sensitive purchasing windows to drive immediate showroom footfalls. Termed the Muhurat Mahotsav, the company is running dedicated 90-minute sales windows where limited units of the motorcycles are available at further discounted rates.
To simultaneously boost confidence in its battery technology, the manufacturer has also bundled substantial after-sales benefits for its flagship scooters.
Buyers purchasing the S1 Pro or S1 Pro+ electric scooters during the initial days of March will receive an extended eight-year battery warranty at no additional cost. This move directly addresses the long-term battery degradation concerns that often deter buyers from fully committing to electric mobility.
Focus On Existing Owners

A major component of this revised sales strategy relies heavily on capitalizing on the brand’s existing customer base. The company currently boasts a community of over one million owners, and it is deploying specific financial incentives to encourage repeat purchases.
Under the newly structured loyalty program, existing scooter owners receive an additional flat benefit of Rs 5,000 if they book a new vehicle during the special sales windows.
Early adopters who own first and second-generation Ola scooters are being offered heavy upgrade benefits. These owners can unlock exchange values and discounts totalling up to Rs 50,000 when transitioning to the latest generation of S1 scooters or booking the new Roadster motorcycles.
For customers looking to simply add another electric vehicle to their garage without trading in their old one, the company is providing up to Rs 20,000 in add-on benefits, alongside a dedicated referral reward program. This internal push suggests that Ola is banking heavily on its current user base to drive initial retail volumes for the newly priced Roadster series.
