Old man murdered, wife in custody

A 65-year-old man was murdered on Saturday in Meerapur village located in Kudwar police station area of ​​Sultanpur. The deceased has been identified as Ram Tej. His body was found soaked in blood near the boundary wall behind the house.

Ram Tej lived alone in his house. His daughter is married. According to the villagers, his wife’s mental condition is said to be not good. On Saturday morning, some villagers saw blood behind the house, after which Ram Tej’s body was recovered. Police were immediately informed.

As soon as the information was received, Kudwar police reached the spot and secured the spot. Police have recovered a brick and an ax from the dead body. It is suspected that the elderly man was attacked with these weapons.

The police inspected the incident site closely and interrogated the people nearby. The investigation is to find out who was present in the house at the time of the incident and whether there was any family dispute.

Giving information about the incident, CO City Saurabh Samant said that PRV had received information that 65-year-old Ram Tej Kori has not come out of the house today and the door is locked from inside. The PRV team entered the house by climbing the wall, where Ram Tej Kori was found dead.

CO Samant said that Ram Tej Kori had kept a 45-year-old woman as his wife last year, who used to roam on the streets. The police have taken the woman into custody and started questioning. The body has been sent to the mortuary house for post-mortem and the forensic team has taken action to collect evidence.
