New Delhi, 23 April. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla attended a grand annual awards ceremony held in New Delhi on Thursday as the chief guest. He also inaugurated the state-of-the-art AI Lab set up in the school. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, while addressing the students, said that today India is emerging as an important global center in the field of school education.
The students receiving education here have brought glory to the nation through their excellent contribution in the country and abroad through study, teaching and training in different periods of time. He inspired the students saying that they are a part of this glorious tradition and as they move forward, may their achievements become an inspiration for the coming generations. He stressed that along with serving the country, active participation of youth in democracy is extremely important. The role of youth is important in policy formulation, decision process and overall development of the nation.
He said that democracy is not limited to elections only but it is a powerful medium of dialogue, discussion and exchange of ideas. When people of the society sit together and share their experiences and learn from each other, only then the real spirit of democracy becomes stronger.
He called upon the students to become conscious citizens and play an active role in the development of the country. During the program, he also inaugurated the state-of-the-art AI Lab established in the school. Expressing happiness over this, he said that providing teaching-training with world-class technology to students from class 6 onwards is a commendable initiative. He said that when children are exposed to innovation, research and new technologies from an early age, they become capable leaders in the future.
He expressed confidence that the students of DPS School will take India’s fame and glory to new heights in the future and will lead in various fields not only in the country but also at the global level. In the end, he congratulated all the students and said that the students who have received the awards should continue to move ahead, while other students should also try to achieve their goals with hard work and dedication.
