Om Birla’s strict warning in Lok Sabha, said- all members in Parliament will have to follow the rules
Speaker of the Lok Sabha amidst increasing uproar inside the Parliament and continuous disruption of proceedings. Om Birla Has warned all the MPs in strong words. He said that Parliament is the most important forum of democracy and it is mandatory for all the members to follow the rules and traditions.
During the Lok Sabha proceedings, Om Birla clearly said that it is the responsibility of every MP to maintain the dignity of Parliament. He urged the members to respect parliamentary rules during discussion and debate and allow the proceedings of the House to run smoothly.
The Speaker said that representatives of all parties come to Parliament as the voice of the public, hence it is important that the debate and discussion take place in a dignified manner and as per the rules. He also said that uproar or violation of rules in Parliament weakens the democratic process.
He appealed to the MPs to express their views strongly, but while doing so, they must keep in mind the parliamentary decorum and rules.
Om Birla said that the rules of Parliament apply equally to all members. Be it MPs from the ruling party or the opposition, everyone will have to follow the rules.
He said that maintaining discipline and positive discussions in Parliament strengthens democracy. Therefore, every MP should understand his responsibility and behave.
The Lok Sabha Speaker also appealed for cooperation from all political parties. He said that Parliament is the most appropriate forum to discuss important issues of the country and for this it is necessary that the proceedings of the House run without any hindrance.
He said that if all the members follow the rules, then more effective discussions can be held in the Parliament and better solutions to the issues related to the public will be found.
Om Birla said in his address that India’s democracy is one of the largest democracies in the world and its strength depends on the functioning of the Parliament.
Therefore, he urged all the MPs to respect parliamentary traditions and maintain a positive atmosphere in the House. This will strengthen the democratic system and public confidence will also be maintained.
