Oman gives highest ‘Order of Oman’ honor to PM Modi, new dimension to bilateral relations
Another one to Prime Minister Narendra Modi international Received recognition. Oman has awarded him its highest civilian honor ‘Order of Oman’ for his significant contribution in strengthening India-Oman relations. Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said presented the honor during a ceremony held in the capital Markat. This is the 29th honor received by Modi on foreign soil and the 9th this year.
In the year 2025, he has received the civilian honor of Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Cyprus, Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Brazil, Namibia and Ethiopia along with Oman (PM Modi Oman Visit). In the last 9 years, he has been awarded the highest or highest civilian honor of 29 countries.
Earlier, bilateral talks were held between the top leadership of the two countries, in which an important trade agreement was signed between India and Oman. This agreement can provide huge benefits to India’s textile, footwear, automobile and auto components sectors.
