Omar Abdullah’s sharp attack on BJP: “What will happen if I go to Haryana and lift the veil of a Hindu woman?”

The uproar is not stopping after the video of Nitish Kumar removing the niqab of a Muslim woman in Bihar went viral. Nitish Kumar is being criticized from all sides, and now even the BJP leaders who are in alliance with him are seen defending him, due to which a new controversy has arisen.

Omar Abdullah got angry on Giriraj Singh’s statement

On Thursday, Union Minister and BJP firebrand leader Giriraj Singh openly defended Nitish Kumar. This very thing pricked Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Omar fiercely attacked BJP over Giriraj Singh’s statement and asked that if a Muslim leader had lifted the veil of a Hindu woman in Haryana or Rajasthan, what would have been the reaction of BJP?

“This was what was expected from BJP”

Omar Abdullah wrote on social media, “This is what you would expect from BJP, right? If this was the veil of a Hindu woman in Haryana or Rajasthan and I had removed it, would BJP have said the same?” He further said sarcastically, “Suppose a Muslim leader had removed the veil of a Hindu woman, today the whole country would have been shaken. But because this doctor was a Muslim woman, the reaction of BJP is completely different. We cannot expect more than this from them.”
