The current head coach, Omkar Salvi, has been appointed RCB’s bowling coach. Salvi previously worked as an Assistant coach with Kolkata Knight Riders.
With reports on Salvi joining the franchise revealed early on November 18, the franchise has made an official announcement later that day.
He is expected to join RCB after the end of the ongoing Ranji Trophy season. “Omkar Salvi, current head coach of Mumbai, has been appointed as RCB’s Bowling Coach,” the franchise tweeted.

“Omkar, who has won the Ranji Trophy, Irani Trophy, and the IPL in the last 8 months, is excited to join us in time for #IPL2025, after completion of his Indian domestic season duties,” it added.
Omkar is the brother of former India fast bowler Avishkar Salvi under his guidance, the Mumbai team won the Ranji Trophy last season.
Omkar’s only List-A appearance came in 2005 when he played for Railways against Madhya Pradesh.
Earlier this year Dinesh Karthik was named as the RCB’s battting coach and mentor for the IPL 2025 sesason.
Karthik and Omkar Salvi have worked together for KKR and the RCB will be looking to bring them together to power their maiden IPL title.
The Bengaluru based franchise has retained Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar and Yash Dhayal ahead of the auction.
The IPL governing council has decided to organize IPL 2025 mega auction between November 24 and 25 in Jeddah.
Despite the event being hosted overseas, IPL fans can still enjoy the IPL 2025 auction live streaming from their home.
As a part of the season, BCCI will release the IPL 2025 schedule, IPL 2025 squad, IPL 2025 live streaming, IPL 2025 ticket booking links, and IPL 2025 team jersey details right before the start of the tournament.
