Kiccha Sudeep’s thriller opens with Rs 6.25 crore – Obnews

Kiccha Sudeep’s action thriller **Mark**, directed by Vijay Karthikeya, took a tremendous opening on December 25, 2025, and has grossed an estimated **₹6.25-6.28 crore** in India across all languages, according to early trade trackers like Sacnilk.

The film dominated in Karnataka with **81.87% total Kannada occupancy**—~62% in the morning shows, which increased to 86-90% in the evening/night slots—while the Tamil version saw ~16% occupancy. It has a great festive opening thanks to Sudeep’s mass appeal and positive word-of-mouth for the high-octane action sequences.

*Max* (2024) marks Sudeep’s comeback with the team as a suspended cop fights criminals and corrupt forces. It stars Naveen Chandra, Nishvika Naidu, Yogi Babu and others.

Compared to Sudeep’s previous Christmas release *Max* (2024), which had a higher opening of ~₹8.5-10.5 crore, *Mark* faced direct competition from Shiv Rajkumar-Upendra’s *45*, which had a lower occupancy (~69%).

Analysts predict growth over the holiday weekend, making the *mark* a major Sandalwood contender for 2025.
