Flowers were showered from helicopter on the ghats and akhadas on the first Amrit Snan, overwhelmed devotees raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram and Har Har Mahadev.

Mahakumbhnagar. On Tuesday, the day of Makar Sankranti, the first Amrit Snan of Maha Kumbh 2025, the Yogi Government showered flowers from a helicopter on crores of devotees who had come to take a dip on the Sangam bank. Flowers were showered on the devotees during bathing at all the ghats and akhadas from the helicopter. Seeing the rain of rose petals, the devotees present on the banks of Sangam were overwhelmed and raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram and Har Har Mahadev.

On the instructions of Yogi Government, the Horticulture Department had been making preparations for a long time for showering flowers on the devotees on the occasion of bathing festivals in the Maha Kumbh Mela area. Rose petals were specially arranged for this. Preparations have been made to shower flowers on all the bathing festivals of Maha Kumbh. There are preparations to shower about 20 quintals of rose petals on each bathing festival, in the series of which, on the first bathing festival Paush Purnima Snan, rose petals were showered on the devotees on Monday, while on the second day i.e. Tuesday, on Makar Sankranti, rose petals were showered on the devotees. Even during this time the devotees were seen overwhelmed by the shower of flowers. It is known that adequate flower arrangements have been made by the Horticulture Department for the first two days. More than 40 quintals of rose flower stock was collected by the Horticulture Department for these two days.
