On the instructions of the Ministry of Information, the word ‘Baloch’ was removed from ‘Dhurandhar’, the changed version will be released from today.

Ranveer Singh’s much talked about film ‘Dhurandhar’ has already achieved tremendous performance at the box office this year and has achieved the title of highest grossing Hindi film. Now this film has been released once again in theaters with some technical and dialogue related changes.

Mute two words from the movie

According to the latest information, two words in the film have been muted and one dialogue has been amended. These changes have been made following the instructions of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India. A source said that on December 31, an official email was sent by the distributors to theaters across the country. It was told in this email that the Digital Cinema Package (DCP) of the film is being changed. This is because as per the instructions of the Ministry, the makers have removed two words and changed one dialogue from the film. After this, theaters were requested to download the new file and screen only the revised version of the film from January 1, 2026.

According to the information, one of the words which has been muted is the word ‘Baloch’. Currently, no details have been shared officially regarding the second word and changed dialogue. It is noteworthy that the story of the film, through a mixture of facts and fiction, touches on sensitive topics like social and ethnic tensions in Pakistan, terrorism and alleged nexus of the government machinery.

The trailer was released on 18 November

If we talk about the film, the trailer of ‘Dhurandhar’ was released on 18 November. A huge discussion had started about the film. In the film, Ranveer Singh is seen in a character who fights against four dangerous terrorists of Pakistan. Many speculations were made on social media regarding the real identity of these characters. The manufacturers have not given any official confirmation on this. According to the Censor Board, the character of Ranveer Singh is completely fictional, even though some people consider him to be inspired by real military officers.
