Buxar: A wedding ceremony in Bihar’s Buxar district turned into a horrific accident. The bride was shot during the Jaymala ritual in Mallah Toli of Chausa Nagar Panchayat on Tuesday night. The accused youth entered the crowd wearing a mask and opened fire, due to which the entire area was in panic.

A happy atmosphere turned into mourning.

The procession had come from Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. First the door puja was done and then the Jaimala ritual started. The bride and groom were standing on the stage, relatives were getting photographs taken. Then suddenly a young man hiding in the crowd reached the stage. He shot the bride Aarti Kumari (18 years) in the stomach. As soon as the bullet was fired, the bride immediately fell on the stage. There was screams all around and people started running.

After being shot, the bride took the name of the accused and said, ‘Deenbandhu shot me.’ The accused Deenbandhu was a youth from the neighboring area. Father Nand ji Mallah told that it was a case of one-sided love. The accused youth loved the bride, but being unhappy with the marriage, he took this step. After the incident, the accused quickly ran away from the spot.

bride’s condition serious

The injured bride was immediately taken to Sadar Hospital Buxar. The doctors there provided first aid, but when his condition became serious, he was referred to the Trauma Center in Varanasi. Some reports say that the bride died, but there is no confirmation from the family and police yet. Police have registered the case and started searching for the accused. The family members of the accused are being interrogated.
