OnePlus 13 brings macro mode with new software update
Delhi Delhi. OnePlus has released a new software update that brings the popular macro mode to the OnePlus 13. Available for the China version, the macro mode is represented by a petal icon in the default camera app, which allows users to get close to a subject like an animal or flower and click small details of it.
The OnePlus 13's triple cameras – a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP periscope telephoto sensor – have been fine-tuned by Hasselblad. This means that the new macro mode also uses the reputable camera maker's algorithms for better macro shots using the ultrawide camera. However, the implementation is similar to the latest iPhones. After the update, the camera app can automatically switch to macro mode as a user gets closer to the subject.
For now, the new macro mode is available in China as part of the new ColorOS update for the OnePlus 13. Since the OnePlus 13 is not available in international markets yet, the company may include macro mode in the OxygenOS 15 build. The OnePlus 13 is the company's latest flagship, powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. It has a 6.82-inch full-HD+ 1440p LTPO AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz. It also has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The smartphone comes with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. However, reports suggest that the international variant may miss out on the top storage configuration and settle for a variant with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The OnePlus 13 packs a 6000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging technology. It also has an IP69 rating for top-level resistance against dust and water.
