Onion Pakoda Recipe

1 teaspoon red chili powder

1 teaspoon garam masala powder

1 teaspoon celery

4 green chillies

3 cups gram flour

1 tablespoon coriander leaves

1/2 teaspoon turmeric

1 pinch asafoetida

2 cups refined oil

1 cup water

Step 1

To make this snack recipe, chop onion on a chopping board, chop coriander leaves and green chillies and transfer them to a bowl. Now, add gram flour, turmeric powder, carom seeds, asafoetida, salt and green chillies in this bowl. Add half water to it and mix well. Make sure the batter is smooth.

Now, place a deep-bottomed pan on medium flame and heat refined oil in it. When the oil is hot, add a spoonful of batter and fry the pakodas until they turn golden brown. Once cooked, take them out on absorbent paper to absorb excess oil. Serve them hot with the dip of your choice!
