Only 1 ball got selection among 5 lakh players, Pak bowler will never forget the 2 sixes he took from Kohli
Happy Birthday Haris Rauf: Pakistan's fast bowler Haris Rauf is celebrating his 31st birthday today. Born on November 7, 1993 in Rawalpindi, Punjab, Rauf does not need any identity today. He has achieved a different position in a very short time on the basis of speed. The Pakistani fast bowler was brought up in Rawalpindi. His father was a welder, who worked in the Public Works Department. Rauf grew up near the Diamond Cricket Club in Islamabad, but never formally joined the club.
Rauf earned a lot of name in tape-ball
In 2017, Rauf reached Gujranwala from Islamabad, traveling a distance of four and a half hours on a sweltering afternoon for a cricket trial. They reached there late and were not allowed entry as the stadium was completely filled. He had traveled a long distance for this, so he could not go back. Therefore, they broke the lock of the iron gate here and entered inside while avoiding the security guards. Before this trial, Rauf had never played with season ball, but used to play only with tape ball. On the basis of his speed, he earned a lot of name among the teams of his village, locality and nearby areas, who paid him well.

Rauf showed his speed in the trial
He had never played hard-ball cricket and had no ambitions, but the open trials organized by Lahore Qalandars compelled him. He had good speed and athletic body, due to which he was successful in passing the first round. The challenge for the next round came before him on the same day. More than five lakh people came during this trial, out of which 145,000 were bowlers. The special thing about this trial is that it was not about bowling accuracy, but about bowling as fast as possible. Haris' number came in the last round, where he threw the ball at a speed of 92.3 mph with full force and surprised everyone.

The coach also praised Rauf
These trials are part of the player development program launched by Lahore Qalandars in 2016, with trials conducted from Rawalpindi to southern Punjab. He was also praised by Lahore Qalandars coach Aaqib Javed. He had said, 'Rauf had tremendous speed and bowling at a speed of 92.3 mph is no joke. We saw his potential, and started working on it. He definitely had speed, but to become a good bowler he needed two years of good training.
Will never forget the sixes taken by Virat
Two years ago, India's star batsman Virat Kohli made headlines by hitting two consecutive sixes in a T-20 World Cup match on the ball of Haris Rauf. During this time, one six of Virat was so spectacular that the ICC itself called it 'Shot of the Century'. At one time in that match, India needed 28 runs from eight balls and was heading towards defeat. But on the basis of these sixes of Kohli, India was successful in winning this match. In this match, Kohli showed his strength by playing 83 unbeaten innings in just 52 balls.
