Oppo Reno 16 series key features revealed via European certifications ahead of global debut

The Oppo Reno 16 series has been certified across Europe, India, UAE, and Indonesiarevealing key specifications ahead of its global launch. European certifications confirm the Reno 16 Pro (CPH2863) and Reno 16 F 5G (CPH2859) are preparing for international release, with the Reno 16 Pro already receiving TUV SÜD certification for 80W fast charging support.

Display specifications

The Reno 16 Pro features a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rateand up to 1,800 nits peak brightness. The standard Reno 16 comes with a more compact 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED panel with the same 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch samplingand up to 3,600 nits peak brightness.

Performance and chipset

The Reno 16 Pro is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s chipset, while the standard Reno 16 uses the Dimensity 8550 Super SoC. Both phones offer up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB UFS 3.1 storagerunning on Android 16-based ColorOS 16.

Camera system

Both models share an identical triple rear camera setup:

200-megapixel OIS-enabled primary shooter (Samsung HP5 sensor)
50-megapixel ultrawide camera
50-megapixel periscope telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom

The front camera is a 50-megapixel shooter on both models, with video recording topping out at 4K/60fps.

Battery and charging

The Reno 16 packs a 6,700mAh battery with 80W fast chargingwhile the Reno 16 Pro features a 7,000mAh battery with both 80W wired and 50W wireless charging capabilities.

Additional features

Both devices include in-display fingerprint scanners, face unlockand comprehensive water/dust resistance ratings (IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K). The Pro version supports Wi-Fi 7while the standard model has Wi-Fi 6. Both include NFC connectivity and stereo speakers.

Expected pricing

European retailers suggest the Reno 16 could sell for EUR 890.91 (approximately Rs 98,200) in Italy, while the India price is expected to start at Rs 30,999 for the base model.
