Order for making Prasad from Nandini Ghee in Karnataka – Read

Latest News :- Following the Tirupati laddu adulteration controversy, the state government has ordered that only Nandini ghee should be used for preparing prasad in all temples in Karnataka. Karnataka Hindu Religious Affairs Minister Ramalinga Reddy told reporters in Bengaluru yesterday.

The case of adulteration in Tirupati Lattu Prasad is shocking. The state government is taking appropriate action in this regard. Nandini Ghee from the state of Karnataka has been used for making Tirupatilattu for a long time. Andhra Pradesh officials have said that there is no adulteration in Nandini Ghee.

However, I consulted officials of the Karnataka Hindu Religious Charities Department on this matter. It was discussed what kind of precautions should be taken in Atilakarnadak temples. Based on the decisions taken in that meeting, we have sent a circular on behalf of the Hindu Religious Charities Department.

In all the 35,500 temples…Accordingly, in all the 35,500 temples under the control of the Department of Hindu Religious Affairs, only Karnataka Government Nandini Ghee should be used for making prasad, lighting lamps and other rituals. We have advised not to use any other material including animal fat for preparing Prasad. Minister Ramalinga Reddy said this.
