Out of gas? Don’t panic! Just show your ID and get this cylinder immediately, no booking required.
New Delhi: Due to the Iran war, the supply chain of crude oil across the world has completely collapsed. Its direct impact is also visible on India’s LPG supply. In fact, India imports about 60 percent of its LPG requirement and 90 percent of it comes through the ‘Gulf of Hormuz’. Due to the current tension, the movement of ships on this route has been affected, due to which there is a huge shortage of gas in many parts of the country. The situation is such that there are long queues of people outside the gas agencies.
‘Chhotu’ became support in times of trouble
Government oil company Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has come up with a great solution for the common man troubled by the gas crisis and waiting list. The company has started promoting its ‘Chhotu’ cylinder, which can prove to be a game-changer in this time of crisis. Its biggest feature is that to get it you do not need to book weeks in advance or wait for the delivery boy.
Indian Oil gave information on social media
IOC has explained in detail about this facility through social media. According to the company, if you need LPG immediately, then Indane’s 5 kg ‘Free Trade LPG’ (FTL) cylinder is the best option for you. It is compact and convenient as well as easily available wherever Indane agencies or authorized outlets are present. The company says that even though it is small in size, it is very helpful in fulfilling your cooking needs without any delay.
No hassle of paperwork
Generally, to get a new gas connection one has to go through address proof and lengthy paperwork, but this is not the case with ‘Chhotu’ cylinders. To buy it you will only have to provide an ID proof. You do not need any kind of address proof. This is a boon for those who live in other cities for work or who do not have valid documents.
refill from anywhere
Another great feature of this cylinder is its refilling. For regular domestic cylinder you have to go to your designated distributor, but in case of Chhotu cylinder you are free. You can refill it from any Indane distributor, select grocery stores or authorized outlets. The main objective of the company is to make LPG easily accessible to every household, so that no one’s stove goes out in times of crisis.
